A small collection of projects I worked on during my university course, that I'm proud of
Journeyman 2015 - Deathless
During my second year, I worked alongside a group of 17 people to create a vertical slice of a game concept, created by the lead designer. Each group for the project had to work on a game based upon fairy tales. Ours revolved around the tale of 'Koschei the Deathless'.
Within the project, I worked on fleshing out the level layout and creating a simple white-box of what to expect. when it came to the production phase, I began working on the melee combat prototype. Once I'd finalised that, I then moved onto story boarding the vertical slice and used that to co-ordinate and place cameras for the final video, which i produced.
Games Practical Project 2016 - The Search for Ajay
The main module of our final year was the Games Practical Project.
For this, I wanted to work with something unique and fun. I'd decided to use the Farcry 4 level editor to create a level design piece. The aim for my work was to provide multiple paths through the level. With Sporadic AI spread across different paths to the goal. Using lighting and environmental effects, intricate level layouts and visual queues to the player to advance through the level; i was able to achieve the goal i'd set upon starting the project.
